Nicole Roskam Brunot, her sons and daughters-in-law enthusiastically trace the edges of future vintages of the vineyard and cellars. Four generations of a beautiful family history and 80 years at the head of Château Cantenac! At the estate, you can discover the wines of their estates during a tasting or the vineyard by the glass during a tasting visit in their company. A beautiful moment of sharing and discovery! “Wine tourism, a family story. We were delighted to receive our many French and international visitors, charmed by our wines, classified landscapes and a privileged welcome. For 2021, we received the Traveler’s Choice Award from Trip Advisor, proof of our passion to welcome you in all circumstances!” The great events of Saint Emilion are just as many reasons to visit them. The city is indeed a World Heritage Site for its “Cultural Landscapes”.
Superb Saint-Émilion GC 2020, 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet franc, aged 12 months in Bordeaux barrels including 40% new wood, with this complex nose where redcurrant and humus dominate, mixing power and finesse, a full-bodied wine, very fragrant, spicy as it should be, very fleshy, of guard, of a beautiful length in mouth, it is one of the greatest successes of the property!
In line, their 2019, very aromatic, it is well balanced, with the connotations of macerated raspberry, a very nice concentration in the mouth, with tasty tannins, subtly peppery mouth.
The 2018, intense color, fragrant (cassis, smoked), a nice persistent finish, slightly spicy, a wine all in the mouth, which combines breadth and distinction, typified.
The Saint-Émilion GC Château Cantenac Selection Madame 2020, 95% selection of Merlot and 5% Cabernets, 12 months in Bordeaux barrels, nose dominated by redcurrant and pepper, fleshy, with melted tannins, fragrant mouth with notes of blueberry and spices, ample and velvety, a wine that continues its evolution.
The 2019, classic palate, combines a real frame with a nice roundness, fragrant palate (blackberry, humus…), a beautiful finish.
The 2018, with the scents of blackberry and spices, is very harmonious, with a framework that is both powerful and tasty, of guard.
