At the end of the old regime, the parish of Saint-Laurent du Médoc had a parish priest named Abbé Bridane, who was a miller. His mill was on the town of Reignac (now Saint-Julien), his trace remained in local history because he was a priest juror, favorable to the ideas of the revolution. His political positions enabled him to continue to exercise his ministry and his industrial activity.
Superb Saint-Julien Château la Bridane 2016, from a vineyard on graves garonnaises (Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, petit verdot, Cabernet franc), a very beautiful wine, with very present aromas of spices, candied cherry, blackberry, of liquorice and violet, well structured and bold on the palate, ample, of very good evolution. The 2015, with persistent aromas of small ripe black fruits with notes of cinnamon, generous, is firm, very fragrant, and elegantly blends a tannic finesse to a persistent roundness. The 2014, with a strong colour, where the flavours of undergrowth and overripened fruit blend together, is a beautiful wine with a tasty mouth.
Les Vignobles Saintout also owns the Domaine de Cartujac in Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois appellation, as well as the Château du Périer in Médoc Cru Bourgeois appellation.
